Shopping sentiments
Dress: H&M
Sandals: Urban Outfitters
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
About 4 or 5 months ago I was having one of those days where you just find yourself in H&M because you're forced to go downtown and you figure it'll make your trip worthwhile. I was lucky enough to go on a day where they were restocking this dress that immediately caught my eye. I am the kind of girl that will stalk a single item until it's mine, so needless to say I snatched the last one in my size. The best part about this story is that the dress wound up being $10 full price. Can't beat that! Plus, I love fuss-free dresses and this is definitely one I can always rely on. It can literally be laying in a ball in the corner of my bedroom for weeks and it will never wrinkle, and will always look and make me feel like a million bucks.
On another note - I am starting to realize that my shopping habits are getting a bit ridiculous. I've bought so many things this summer and I'm feeling kind of guilty. I have literally bought 5 jackets this summer! I guess I just feel bad because I wrote down all the things I really wanted to buy this fall but so far I've only been buying pieces that I've found around town that are really good deals, and not necessarily things that I've been dreaming about. I feel like I'm guilty of this every season, so I can't be the only person that does this! I'm starting to think that seasonal wishlists will never work for me. Thoughts?

I have the same problem. The things I have on my wishlist are usually costly and its easyer to just buy what I can find on sale that fits/looks ok rather than save up money to get something Im obsessed with or kinda need. For example I keep putting off getting a strapless bra cause the one I prefer that comes in my size dosnt come in the nude I want and it cost a bit for me. On the other hand for the cost of the one bra I was able to get a jacket and a pair of shorts on sale. While the shorts where a needed item the Jacket on the other hand I only need when I go to the ice ring for my boyfriends sons hocky games and one week mabey two out of the year for weather cause I live in FL.
ReplyDelete*sigh* I know that my clothing is sometimes cheap to the point of being throw away items and I dont mind some of my trend stuff that will end up becoming eh later being cheep but I really do need to save up money and buy some really worth while basics. Then again mabey I just need a better paying job LOL.
love the dress, great find, and at 10 bucks! even better! <3

ReplyDeleteI am so so happy for you! I know I posted an outfit with shorts a week ago, but before I found those, I hadn't worn a pair of shorts since I was probably 12 years old! Those are the only pair of shorts I own, but I love them and I'm happy I finally found a pair that I'm comfortable enough wearing out.
