Cool and casual
Cardigan: Target
Dress: F21
Bag: Thomas Paul, from Fred Flare
Necklace: Free People (gift)
Sunglasses: Buffalo Exchange
Ring, Shoes: Thrift
I wore this to pick up a few things at the the grocery store the day before Memorial Day. I try to not use plastic bags whenever I can, so I decided to use my Thomas Paul tote instead of one of my everyday bags. I try not to be that girl that uses a shoulder bag and a tote, but sometimes you can't help it!
I recently bought this dress and I love how simple and perfect it is! Every girl needs a go-to summer dress and this is definitely going to be mine this year. It's easy to wear, fits perfectly, and the colors are everything I love. What is your go-to item for the summer?

I love how the dress has the same browns in it as the cardigan and that tote bag is cute.
ReplyDeleteYour hair is so perfect!
ReplyDeleteMy go-to item is sunglasses.
Yeah, totally agree, you hair IS perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteyou look pretty and lovely!
Idk. My go-to item this summer might become my cycle shorts, cause in winter/spring/Autumn when it's not as warm it's always leggings :)
hi! too cute!!
ReplyDeletei saw that dress online but all their dresses seem soooo short. i'm about 5'7"... do you have any insight on f21 dress lengths? thanks :)
Love it!! You look great.
ReplyDeleteI really like the bag :D btw could you email me at jadorelamode@live.com i need to ask you if you can do something for my blog (can't find any way to contact you)

Chloe - Thanks!
ReplyDeleteStina - I am totes jealous of your sunnies! They are the clubmaster style I've been looking for this summer.
Jennifer - Ohh, I totally agree! I am on the hunt for some lace cycle shorts. I actually found this lace unitard on ASOS that I really liked where the bottoms were cycle shorts but they didn't come in my size. :(
Jamie - I am 5'2", so dresses aren't usually that short on me. I purposely made the elastic waistband on this dress hit higher on my torso with some excess fabric hanging down to make the length shorter. Does that make sense? If I pulled the dress all the way down, it would probably be knee-length or go slightly past my knees. I'd give this one a try! As far as other F21 dresses, they are a little on the shorter side, so I'd definitely advise you to go and try them on in-store (that is, if you have a F21 that carries Faith 21 near you).
I was loving and hoping for that dress.

I love the dress on you first of all.
ReplyDeleteMy go-to summer items? Sandals or shorts.
I've had my eye on that dress, but unfortunately I couldn't buy it! :( I love the short sleeved cardigan & tote too!
ReplyDeletethat dress looks great on you, i was eyeing it online, but i don't think i'm going to get it because of the shortness factor. I'm 5'9, soo my butt would be outttt.
ReplyDeletethat being said, i don't think i have a go-to summer item. this is upsetting.

Nikki - I just measured the dress and it's 31" long from the top seam (where the keyhole is on the chest) to the bottom seam and 7" straps. The great thing about this dress is that it has adjustable straps. I think this could work out for you - and I doubt your that your butt would be out!
ReplyDeleteYou look GORGEOUS!! I love how the brown on your cardigan matches perfectly with the brown stripes on your dress.

i was thinking of buying that dress... what size did you get ?? is it true to size ??
ReplyDeleteBeing a pretty solid 16, I am usually a 2x in Faith 21 but I bought this in a 1x and the fit is perfect! So yeah, I'd say it runs one size too big that other F21 dresses.
ReplyDeleteI love that dress on you! I have to admit when I saw it in store, I was completely uninspired by it. And the model on their website didn't do it justice.
ReplyDeleteVery gorgeous outfit!!
so cute! i loved that entire thomas paul line.
ReplyDeleteI looove your hair!! the outfit is lovely, especially the bag :)
