Hard to be soft, tough to be tender
Lace blazer, bag, belt: Thrifted
Tank: Target
Bralette: Sonia Rykiel for H&M
Skirt: Old Navy
Shoes: Evans
Jewelry: Thrifted/Forever 21
So much hair and never enough time to mess with it. Story of my life! My heart practically skipped a beat when I found this lace blazer at Unique last Monday. I tried it on and was slightly underwhelmed... it basically screamed Grandma in the summer, haha. But I bought it anyway (which is a bad habit, I suppose... my closet is filled with "what if's") - I knew deep down it had potential. So I decided to play dress up a bit and ended up running errands around town in this little number. I'd deem it a success as it was perfect for the in-between weather in Chicago.

Woow that is such a cute outfit, I was still a bit sceptic about lace blazer, they looked kind of granny style to me, but you rock it, it looks awesome on you!!I wish I would have some good possibilities to thrift.

Katrin - Thank you! I have to admit, I am still a bit skeptical about the blazer. I think I have to play around with it more or something. I wonder why there aren't good thrift stores in your part of town??
ReplyDeleteJennifer - You're so sweet! I think the bag always adds a little sophistication. I love it so :)

ReplyDeleteI have such a hard time pulling off that skinny-belt look, but you make it work beautifully.
ReplyDeleteAs to the hair: flat iron. Takes seven minutes if you do it right, super easy - or just go wild and curly, it still works.
So cute! I love the lace blazer! Seriously fab and fancy!

I love the outfit, I really like how you styled it :)
ReplyDeleteGirrrl. 7 minutes with a flat iron? In my dreams! This mane is 30 minutes of blowdrying and flat ironing if I want it straight. My hair is naturally wavy and in order to get the most out of my natural curls, I twist my hair into sections and try to diffuse it. I haven't really bothered with hair product to make the curls more defined, but I think I'm going to invest in some kind of product sometime soon.
