Hats on, hats off
{Refinery 29}
To wear a hat, or to not wear a hat. That is the question that has been haunting my mind for quite some time. It's sad, really, when I think about my head and it's lack of roundness. I can never seem to find the right hat that will stay on my flat head! Does anyone else have the same problem? I would love to wear a sweet little straw hat paired with a vintage blouse and shorts, or a dark bowl hat with some little lacey number. Alas, I cannot. So I'll sit back and watch all these ladies work it out, one hat at a time.

I love hats! I have two fedora's I got for like $10 from urban outfitters in the mens side! My head is big so mens hats fit me best!
ReplyDeleteHeya, I kinda have the same problem, they always seem to fall off my head, but i tried spraying some hairspray on the inside and that kinda works!xxx
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem! My friend in high school actually told me I shoudn't wear hats because my head is an odd shape, lol. Which I've now gotten over, but still can't find hats that fit right. xD
ReplyDeleteYes I have the same problem! Although I think it's more that They just don't suit my features. It saddens me every summer though!

I love hats. I use to have a collection but I moved and couldnt take them since I basically just packed a bag and flew over to my new home. And each time I ask my brother to ship them to me he ends up not (probably forgot) :(
ReplyDeleteHats are so fun! You could totally rock them too!

I have the same problem as you! No hat will ever stay on my head. I tried to wear a knitted beret this winter, but I look stupid! And last summer, I bought a $1 hat at the thrift store just because I was going to the beach, but it didn't look too bad.
ReplyDeletei don't know if this will help any.... i like to wear knitted caps/berets in the fall and winter, but i always have trouble keeping them on! i just use some bobby pins to keep that sucker down. i'm not sure how well this method would work with other kinds of hats; i haven't tried. i've always been reluctant to wear them since i have the same problem as you. :( those pictures you posted make me really, really want to though!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a great idea Ulrika! I've never even heard of that, but I imagine it would work fine.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize so many people were in the same boat! I actually do have a red beret that I wear in the fall/winter that I pin down like it's a wig onto my head, haha. So Jennifer, you're right - Bobby pins are a girls best friend!
Hats are super cool, never wear them...hm, but should. I should at least try. :) I wear a hat everyday at work so...lol...:D it should work.
ReplyDeleteI think that I look good in hats, but I find them uncomfortable so I usually don't wear them. I want to make myself a nice wool cloche for next winter, though!

I can't say I've had a problem with hats fitting me, I have a little hat collection going on secretly. I do however have a problem with head bands fitting me, I think my head must be abnormally shapes haha. It's quite sad actually because headbands are so cute.
ReplyDeleteLove hats they are so cute and fun! But with my big hair they don't work out to well!

Awww, I have a jacked up head, too! Its flat, so I can never wear a headband or a bandanna, it just slides right off. It sucks! And I can't seem to wear hats because they make my forehead itch. Wow, I sound really pathetic. hehe
ReplyDeleteHey, this is the first time I've seen your blog-- your style is so adorable! You really know how to work it! I'll have to keep reading for inspiration :)
